WOYW Wednesday

Hello!

Another Wednesday and time for What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday. This morning I am working on a new Halloween project - and I think it will be great fun! I love to cut out images and this project will certainly give me that opportunity! The file box on the chair in the lower left of my photo is my filing system for storing my solid colored cardstock pieces and scraps and it works well for me. I keep it right by my work table so it is available when I need it.

You can view all of the WOYWW bloggers creations at http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope that you are having fun with a new creation!

Where Are Your Shoes and Colors Are For Paper!

Hello!

This week's at http://mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.com/ the new challenge theme is "Back to School" and this little guy of Mo's always made me think of a little boy just starting kindergarten and he has discovered CRAYONS! The colors - the fun! In the meantime, he has somehow lost his shoes along the way - as they are new and they really slowed him down!

And now it seems that he is in trouble for both the crayons AND the shoes!

You can find this little guy at http://www.mosdigitalpencil.com/ The name of the image is "Sam In Trouble" and if you think he is cute here, check out "Sam in Trouble Again" I think I will use that one today!

Wishing you a good Monday! Thanks for stopping by!

A Halloween 2011 Door Poster

Hello!

Last year, when I made the 'Owl-o-ween' poster for my apartment door, I had so much fun creating the costumes for the little owls. This year I wanted to make a poster using images of little children. When I saw these sweet kids from "A Day For Daisies" I knew I had to make a poster using them! Then Mo Manning created her new 'Tall Houses' images and I was in my glory! One of the houses would be perfect to use with these little trick 'n treaters! I am so happy with the results and poster will be one-of-two that will be on my door this year. I am also making one using Mo Manning's children!

You can see all of the lovely Daisy images at http://adayfordaisies.blogspot.com/ - the individual images are "Bear/Bunny/Cat/Daisy/Ladybug/Witch for Halloween" - and Mo's wonderful new images "Tall Houses" are to be found on her site at http://www.digitalpenciltoo.blogspot.com/

Thans for stopping by! Wishing you a great weekend!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #5

Hello!

It's Wednesday and time for another 'What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday' photo and I have just finished a card for this week's challenge at http://mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.com/ using the theme "Feeling Blue."

Recently a friend told me that most of her correspondence was "Sorry I Missed Your Birthday" or "Sorry I Missed . . . . " and I realized that much of mine is also! So I thought why not make a card that could lead up to an "I'm Sorry" without even using words. This great image of Mo Manning's "Guilty Bert" said it all. I did a horizontal flip of the image and printed it twice and I love it!

You can see all of the WOW cards and projects at http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ So many wonderful creations to give you inspiration and ideas!

Wishing you a fun day!

A Little Card

Hello!

I mailed the stationery set to Rhonda yesterday and made this little card to go inside the package. One of Mo Manning's digital images "Twick or Tweet" - that time of year is almost here again! Living in an apartment now in a security locked building I very much miss the kids coming to the door all dressed up in their costumes and wanting a 'treat' - I loved seeing them and handing out candy! It was always great fun to pick out the candy to give them. :<)

We are having a very stormy morning today here in this part of WI - and more thunderstorms are forecast for the afternoon and evening. Continuous thunder with this storm which is interesting. Always nervous using the computer when there is lightning!

Thanks for stopping by today! Tomorrow is another WOYWW and I haven't finished my card for this weeks 'blue' challenge on Mo's site and a new one is posted on Thursdays - better get busy! Wishing you happiness today!

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday #4

Hello!

Another What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday - and last night I finally finished my card entry for this week's challenge on Mo's Challenge Blog.

The challenge this week was to make an easel card using at least one image from Mo's Digital Pencil with an animal or bird "somewhere" on the card. The name of this great image is "Christmas Morn" and was perfect to use as my first Christmas card of the 2011. It's called a double easel card and the first time I've made one - easy to do and makes a great card! Next week I think I may post cards in different styles of easel cards - as there are quite a few!

For a very enjoyable time - visit the WOYWW blog http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ to see what many of our blogger friends have been creating this past week and then visit Mo's challenge blog http://mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.com/ to see all of the wonderful entries from this past week and on Thursday you can see what the challenge is for the coming week and join in! It is always so much fun to color her beautiful images!

Wishing you a great day today! Thanks for stopping by - I love it when you visit!

Perfect For Photography

What's that in the lower left corner? It's my second addition to my studio - and I love it!

Hello!

One of the things that has been most frustrating for me about a small studio area is the problem of taking photographs of my finished work for my blog. In the past it was always necessary to set up and then take down again the area each and every time I wanted to take photos of my cards/projects - so that I would again have a work space. Until now!

This is the SU Color Catcher (121093 $5.95) which is sold to protect your work area when spraying, etc. a card or project. I covered the back and bottom with white CS and it is perfect for taking my photographs! It is compact in size and can be moved easily. When placed under bright lighting it is exactly what I want and no more setting up and taking down each time I want to take photographs. When opened it measures 10" by 10" by 10" and if need be I can also cover the sides in white CS and it will easily accomodate most of the larger cards and projects I create.

I hope this might be something that can be used by those of you who have the same space problem. I have sent this to SU as an idea to share as I have not seen it used in this manner on any other of the blogs I look at. I know that it works for me - and I love it!

Thanks for stopping by today!

We FINALLY have a real break from the horrible heat and humidity today here in this part of WI. The fresh air and breeze coming in the window feels fantastic! No expensive AC running today and it is the first time in weeks that my corner studio area is pleasant to work in! Wishing you a creative day!

Projects In A Small Apartment Are A Challenge

I wanted a small shelf unit to sit on my work table to hold all of the little items that I use each time I create something and that are always cluttering up the work area. Everything I looked at was too expensive and then I saw the small unfinished crates and with a bit of white paint they are perfect for what I needed!

Yes, this is where I painted them. The only space with lighting that would work! :<)

My new shelf unit. I love it! All the little items are up off of the work area and easily found!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Tomorrow another addition to my work area that solved a huge problem for me. Then I will have a tour of my small studio area for those who have commented and had questions. I have become very adept at many things in small spaces! :<)

Wishing you a happy one!

In The Cottage

Hello!

This is my second card using the Snow White image - this time she is in the little cottage . I wish now that I had use more muted colors in her dress but I still like how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by today!

The heat and humidity here in this part of WI has been overwhelming. Today there is to be a chance of severe storms so maybe it will bring some relief and a bit cooler temps over the next few days. Wishing you a happy one!

Snow White

This is so exciting!

As you know, I love Mo Manning's wonderful images. I have a large and growing collection. Sometime she creates one on request. A long time ago I asked if she had any plans to draw Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs as this was my all time favorite fairy tale. She said she also loved that story and that one day she hoped to work on them. I would ask her from time to time if this was still her plan and she would say when her work load calmed down. :<)

Well, she did it! She granted my request! Here is the lovely Snow White created by Mo.

THANK YOU MO!!!

Because of the whole Disney thing, Mo's Snow White was created in the manner of the original fairy tale - and as I had created an extensive file when I was doing research on this story when I made my set of SW&TSD dolls, I wanted to make my first cards using some of the old prints as backdrops. This was more difficult to do than I first thought it would be as I had to do quite a bit of editing and sizing, etc. but I am happy with the results. Keeping in mind that the original Snow Bud was a blonde in many of the illustrations, that is the look I went for. I hope you enjoy!

You can purchase this wonderful image of Snow White on http://www.digitalpenciltoo.blogspot.com/ Tell Mo that Barbara Diane sent you!

Thank you for stopping by today! Tomorrow I have another Snow White card to share. Wishing you a happy day!
