WOYW? Time and A Card For Jim

Hello!

It's Wednesday and time for What's On Your Workdesk? I have not posted to WOYW? for such a long time now - all of my posts have been few and far between. I hope to begin to post more often again soon as I have been working on new projects.

I made this card for my oldest son Jim quite some time ago. He lives in an adult family home and loves to get mail in between when he comes to visit me, so I try to make cards to send to him. I made this card using the remainders of the Graphic 45 "Once Upon a Springtime" paper collection. Not much left of the papers at this point, as I have used them for so many projects. But as with all of the Graphic 45 collections, there are so many things to fussy cut on the two sided papers - so the fun just keeps on going!  And I LOVE to fussy cut!

If you are not familiar with WOYW? - go to http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ - the Stamping Ground blog - to see all of the many bloggers you can visit to see what they are working on and share what you have on your workdesk.

Thank you for visiting my blog today! We have a perfect summer day here in this part of WI today! I wish it could stay this way - but thunderstorms are in the forecast again for tomorrow. I hope that you have a good evening!

Hugs,
Barbara Diane

A New Door Poster For July

Hello!
A new door poster for my apartment door. This time I used another of Graphic 45's paper collections called "Home Sweet Home" - reminded me of my childhood in the 40's and 50's. I wanted to make something colorful and I love the red/blue/yellow combination.

My mother always wore a house dress and apron then - the standard housewife fashion. She also cooked and baked from scratch, canning and freezing our food. I did this also when I first married - made all my bread in addition to canning/freezing all of the fruits and vegetables. Made jam, even ketchup, sauces, etc. I think the only thing we bought was meat (from the farmer) that we put in the freezer and dairy and my husband was very much into hunting and fishing so I learned to prepare all of that too. Just what we did then - plus care for three children and a home. Things have changed so over the years.

Once again I forgot to take photos until after it was already on the door. This is getting to be worrisome as I also forget to take photos before I mail or give away the cards/projects!

It is another nice day here in the part of WI but the humidity is building again and very warm temperatures on the way. Storms on the way also for the weekend.. Wishing you a good weekend and some happy crafting! I want to finish the dress form and have photos of it to share on Monday. I am also working on some thank you cards that I want to finish this weekend. They have a bit of fussy cutting so will take me some time to finish them all.

Hugs,

Barbara

Long Time Away

Hello!

It has been so long since I posted! Life just gets in the way no matter how we feel about it! Hopefully I can post more often again soon! I have been busy - working on a doll, a dress form and a fussy cutting project. As you can see from the photos - I have had lots of chaos. I guess my studio sort of reflects my life at times.

Wishing you a happy day! I will post some photos tomorrow.

Hugs,

Barbara Diane
