A Card and Cake Slices

Hello!

I have been wanting to make one of the cake slice treat boxes that I have seen periodically on other blogs and also I still have all my butterflies to use in projects. So here is my card and two versions of a cake slice box.

I am now working on a one-layer cake and then hopefully, a layered cake! :>)

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope that you enjoyed the card and cakes! :<)

Turkeys Get Forgotten

Hello!

I was thinking this weekend how Halloween has become such a celebrated holiday - second I think to Christmas - with decorations and cards and even many outdoor yard displays. The Thanksgiving holiday does not really get much attention - especially the turkey!

We have been seeing multiple Halloween and Christmas cards already for quite some time - but no turkeys! So I decided to make a "turkey card" - using the paper punches - based on one of my most popular polymer turkeys that I have made in past.

So here he is. He's a pretty happy guy! I hope that you enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by today!

I hope that you had a great holiday weekend! We continue to have spectacular Indian Summer weather here in WI - have seen some beautiful fall leaf coloring already.

Having Fun

Hello!!

Just having fun making a pumpkin patch. :<)

Using all the scalloped punches I own, I punched out a bunch of pumpkins. Then I free hand drew some faces on them, added some lines, punched some leaf shapes and added glitter. When it was finished I was amazed at how many hours I had been working on this. Just mindless, no-pressure fun. :<)

I am not sure who I will send it to.

It appears that another fun stamp image that has been sitting on my table wanted to join in the fun! As he also is sort of orange, at first you can hardly see him!

Thanks for stopping by!

It continues to be fantastic Indian Summer weather here in WI - I hope it stays! This is the kind of weather I love! Spring and Fall are my favorite times of the year.

Wishing you a good day today!

Awesome Gift From A Blogger Friend!

Hello!

My blogger friend Mary Puskar, who writes the Primitive Seasons blog, sent me the most wonderful "goodies box" filled with all sorts of delightful items! It was such fun to open the box and take every new surprise gift out to look at!

Included in the box were many beautiful cards and other creations that Mary had made and I was so appreciative of her kindness and thoughtfulness. I loved it all!

Here are some photos of Mary's lovely cards! Aren't I the lucky one! :<} You can see all of Mary's creative cards and projects on her blog at http://primitiveseasons.blogspot.com/ Check it out!

Thank you for stopping by today and sharing my happiness!

Triple Matchbox Gift Box

Hello!

Recently, I saw a candy gift box made by attaching 3 matchbox dies together in a row. You can see this box on http://www.craftincaro.ca and it is very cute! Caroline called it a drawer box and it was made to look like 3 little drawers in a row. Thank you for sharing this idea, Caroline!

I wanted to make one right away as this was a great idea to use the matchbox itself as a divider and so here is my version.

For my box I covered the sides and front of the matchboxes and used twill ribbon across the top, with velcro at the ends and on the sides of the box to keep the lid closed. The paper is SU To The Nines Specialty DP and Sahara Sand CS. I also used silver glued dots to highlight.

The flowers I made by layering 2 punched flowers - the top layer with petals going in the opposite direction from the first. (punch one from each side of the DP and then turn over the second one so that each are of the same design - one dotted, one stripe which is turned over to the dotted side) Hope that makes sense! :<}

Thanks for stoppin by today! I hope that your day is a good one!
