Vintage With Polka Dots

Hello!

The current theme of the Day for Daisies challenge is "Go Vintage and Add Polka Dots" and the designer team's inspirations are wonderful! Go to http://adayfordaisies.blogspot.com/search/label/challengeso to see them and their awesome new release!

For my 'paper painting' of the image (on white cardstock) I used two papers I loved because of their vintage feel - and one has polka dots! I then used one of the papers as a background and I cut out a row of the design of the other paper to create the border on the top and bottom. The digital image is called "Small World" and you can find it on the Daisies website at http://adayfordaisies.blogspot.com/

Thank you for stopping by today to visit my blog and thank you to all of you who have left your very kind comments - I love to receive them as they keep me motivated to create! We have lots of sunshine here in this part of WI - I hope that you have some where you are! Wishing you a great weekend!

Hello!

Time for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday and I have finished the project I was working on. I wanted to just use one color on each card with the black and white and I was happy with the final set. The digital images are all from Day For Daisies - they worked well for this technique. Go to The Stamping Ground blog at  http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ to see all of the creations being made this week!

Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog today! I was able to visit many of you yesterday and found so much inspiration from your wonderful creations and projects! Wishing you a happy day!

Hello!

I hope that you had a nice weekend! We have beautiful sunny weather here in this part of WI this early morning and the forecast is for sunny skies most of the week! My card today is just a little 'Happy Monday' to you. I love this digital image of Sassy Cheryl's called "Sally and Her Rag Bunny" and it was a perfect image for more paper painting.

A Stitch In Time

Hello!

It's Friday already - the weeks seem to fly by so fast lately! The current challenge on Sassy Cheryl's challenge blog has a theme of "A Stitch In Time" and this is my entry card. I have used one of Cheryl's digital images "Big Bear Hug" and I wanted it to look like a quilt square with an appliqued image so I just used the stitching around the outside of the blue. I had so many things happen to this card and each time I was able to cover an error another would occur and I would have to be inventive again to cover that one! The end result card is nothing like the one I planned to make! :>)

I love to paper piece and use the term 'fussy cutting' because of the time it takes - but now I have found another term for it as 'paper painting' and that might be my favorite way to describe it!  Check out http://sassycherylschallenge.blogspot.com/  to see Cheryl's challenge blog - you have plenty of time to make your card to enter this fun challenge!

Thank you for stopping by today to visit my blog. We have some sunshine again in this part of WI and the temperature is to reach 72 degrees today. After so many cloudy and rainy days I love it! Wishing you a happy weekend!

TWO POSTS - Daisies Challenge & WOYWW

Hello!

Two posts today - lost Tuesday again! This is the card I made for the current Day For Daisies challenge - and just in time too! The theme is "Calico" and this Daisies digital image is one of my favorites called "Pixie Gift". You can see all of the creative entries at  http://adayfordaisies.blogspot.com/search/label/challenges

This is my entry for the What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. I loved how the gift box with 12 cards I made (in upper left corner) which I posted on Monday - using just one color on the black and white image. So I am now working on a set of greeting cards for a friend - trying to see what will work using this idea. Go to Julia's blog http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ to visit some wonderful workdesks!

Thank you for stopping by today to visit my blog! Now I am off to catch up on answering the lovely comments that you left for me! Wishing you a happy day!

Set of Boxed 4 x 4 Cards

Hello!

It's Monday again - and over the weekend I finished the project I was working on - a set of 12 small 4 x 4 cards and the box to hold them. I wanted to leave the image black and white with just the two colors of the rose - red flower, green leaves. There is also a thin green border around the outside of the white square with the image - which is digital image from A Day For Daisies.

For another set I wanted to try using the colors of red, green and black to color in the image and here are my samples. What do you think - do you prefer one of these? Daisies current challenge is calico so maybe I will try that on the image for another set.

Thank you for visiting my blog today! I hope that you all have a good Monday!

WOYW Wednesday on Thursday

Hello,

Well, I sure did get my days mixed up this week! So here is my photo that should have been posted yesterday - as What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday is supposed to be posted on Wednesday! :<) Had just finished the card I posted yesterday  that was supposed to be posted today and a new project I am still working on.

Almost forgot again! Go to Julia's blog at http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ to see all of the great work spaces - it's not too late to see them! I think I am #180 - that's a lot of workdesks! :<)

Thank you for stopping by today to visit my blog! I love your wonderful comments and I am going to catch up on visiting each of you today! We have much warmer weather - it is 70 degrees already at 9:00 am here in this part of WI but severe storms on the way - and we have no basement in this apartment complex! Makes me crazy as I was born and raised in MN in the tornado belt so storms are not fun for me. I am fine with everything until the wind starts! I didn't know this about no basement until I had moved in and our city tornado sirens go off like 1 week after I moved in. I never thought to even think such a thing existed - an apartment complex without a basement? Wishing you a happy day today!
