A Hug For Katie and Milk Carton Die

Hello!

I finally purchased the milk carton die from SU and it is so much smaller than I pictured it. I had previously made these treat holders from a template that I found on a blogger site and they were so much larger, so I guess I just assumed that the die would be the same size. You know what they say about assuming anything! :<)

So I was wrong but I just decreased the size of the digital image I was going to use. This was donated by Double Delight as one of the many to be given to those who took part in the Help For Katie request. It worked out fine, but the end result was so much smaller than I intended it to be. Now I will have to purchase different treats to put inside as the chocolates I had will not fit into the smaller milk carton. Guess I will have to eat them so they won't go to waste! :<)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Wishing you a wonderful weekend! Snow or no snow! :<)

A Card For Katie

Hello!

Yesterday, I wrote of the Help For Katie request that was being sent out for one of our fellow bloggers, Kate of Paper Haven, who in December was diagnosed with Stage 4 Stomach Cancer and is now receiving chemo treatments.

In return for a donation one received many digital images that had been given by various artists to help raise money for this lovely young woman and her family. I was so impressed with the beautiful images that were put together by these gracious people to help Katie.

This is a card I made for Katie using images from Studio 313. It just seemed perfect for sending well wishes and perhaps also bring a smile to both Katie and her boys. The CS, DP, markers and paper punch used are all from SU.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Wishing you some sunshine! We had quite a bit of snow again here in this part of WI.

January Calendar Page

Hello!

Another week begins. Very sad because of the tragedy in Arizona. Sometimes it seems our world is slowly becoming insane. So much anger - so much heartbreak in the newspapers - on every page it seems there is suffering somewhere. I know that not feeling well makes it more difficult to stay positive, but I pray for so many every day.

I have not been creating much but hope to work on some projects this week. Here is the January page of the new Birthday Calendar I have started. It doesn't really show up on the photos but I used Frosted Lace Stickles on the snowflakes and to outline the stamped images so in real life it is bright and sparkly. I will be posting a new page each month.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Wishing you some smiles and maybe some hugs. :<)

My Blog Has Attitude! Award

Hello!

I received this lovely award from my good blogger friend Rhonda at Rhonda's Place to Share. This is such a pretty award - with the little hearts it is like receiving a little Valentine! :<) Thank you Rhonda! You can see all of Rhonda's beautiful cards and creations on her blog at http://bluepoohbear753.blogspot.com/ and her sweet young daughter Abby - who definitely has inherited her mom's creativity - also has a blog called Abby's Creations which you can view at http://abbyscreations.blogspot.com/.

The first requirement is to list 3 things that make you different from everybody else. This seems impossible to me as we are all so much alike and share so many life issues. So I will just list 3 things 'about' me.

I have lived in either Minnesota or Wisconsin most of my life, with the exception of 2 periods of time that I lived in Missouri.

I spent time in London, England and Paris, France and lived 1 month with a family in St. Germaine, France.

I have moved over 50 times in my lifetime.

The second requirement is to pass this award on to 5 other bloggers and let them know about it. This is the part that is always so difficult as you are all wonderful! For this award I chose the following 5 blogs. If you are not familiar with these great bloggers, please do visit them as it will be well worth your time to view their beautiful creations!

Ann's Snap Edit Scrap at http://annssnapeditscrap.blogspot.com/
Barbara Doll Studio at http://atelierbarbara.blogspot.com/
Card Creations at http://kaartcreaties.blogspot.com/
It's An Alien Life at http://itsanalienlife.blogspot.com/
Paper Punch Addiction at http://www.paperpunchaddiction.com/

Part of this award is that it comes with a $5 gift certificate to Digis With Attitude when you complete all the requirements. In order to qualify you need only to follow the first two requirements and display the Blog Award Badge (above) in your sidebar and link it back to the Digi’s With Attitude! Challenge Blog. You can get all the details here.

Thank you again Rhonda!

Thanks for stopping by today! Wishing you a happy one!

Starting New Birthday Calendar - Review of Calendar Made in 2010

Hello!

Last year I made a Birthday Calendar, and although I did post each new month's creation, I thought you might like to see the 12 months of the 2010 version calendar in review.

This is a calendar created for keeping track of birthdays, so once completed it can be added to/deleted from (remember to write birthday's in pencil) and used for many years. It can also be used for to keep track of an anniversary, a yearly event, etc.

These are great projects to make and you can order the blank Birthday Calendar from Stampin' Up #101398. At $7.95 they are truly affordable and you can take an entire 12 months to finish decorating it - how great is that! And after being created with that much love it makes a wonderful one-of-a-kind gift for someone special or you can make one for yourself. It was great fun to create a new design for each month - some I like better than others - and those I was not so happy with taught me to take my time so as not to mess up a month because I couldn't throw it away and start over! :<)

In December I sent the calendar to my special SIL Bonita as a Christmas gift. She said she liked it. :<) I have started a new one for myself - and a good thing too! I had the new calendar waiting on my work table, ready to stamp the new January page and so I missed my brother's birthday on December 27th - so sorry Dick! I sent the calendar to Bonita (his wife) and then I forget his birthday! Jeesh! :<)

So here is the calendar in review.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Tomorrow I will have the new birthday calendar month of January.

Wishing you a happy day today!

First Card of 2011

Hello!

My first card of the new year. It seems so strange to write 2011 - I will be correcting the date on my checks for a few weeks if past experience repeats itself. :<)

The image I used for my card is one of Mo Manning's digital images called "Stars" with Bella and Bronte gazing at the stars - and can be found at her site http://digitalpenciltoo.com/ I love Mo's images - she has a magical ability to capture real life in a line drawing.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Wishing you a good Monday!
