WOYW Wednesday Again!

Hello!

This is a sight seldom seen on my blog - a very messy and chaotic workdesk! :<) But it's time again for "What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday and this is it. A sign of the times I guess, as my desk is also the state of my life lately. Chaotic overload. I have been working on my Valentines - only managed to finish one so far (posted yesterday) - but you can also see in the lower left hand corner a gift I am making for my friend Anna. Received a SU order last night so that is also just set on top of everything else. To see some much more interesting and fun workdesks go to http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ - Julia's workdesk is so tidy this week and the green grass outside her window looks so great - we have all white here!

Thank you for stopping by today to visit my blog! It is snowing at the moment - 6 inches in the forecast for today. This weather is so strange - yesterday we had close to 60 degrees here in this part of WI and it is still 32 degrees this morning but by tonight it is to be at 3 degrees again! I have already gone outside to clean off my car for the first time today - wonder how many more times. Wishing you a good day today!

First Valentine

Hello!

It's been another week again since my last post. I am finding it difficult to create during this stressful time but I have a card to share today - my first Valentine - and I think I will be making quite a few versions of this as I love the Tin Man and his loving heart!

Thank you for visiting my blog today! I am so behind at this point in time in returning visits that I will have to admit defeat for now, but hopefully I will be able to come to see you soon and catch up on all of your creations! Wishing you some sunshine and smiles today!

Hugs,

Barbara Diane

It's WOYWW Time

Hello!

It's Wednesday already - and time for "What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday" - and it is a dark and COLD morning here. There was a bit of snow overnight and it is snowing now but it is so cold here in this part of WI today! I think it is 9 degrees at the moment (8:30 am) and a forecast of -4 tonight. It was difficult to take photos this morning because of the lighting and no overhead light in my studio area, only the window off to the left - so these are pretty dark. I am just starting some of my Valentines - hopefully I will not get as behind as I was with my Christmas cards!

Go to http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ to see Julia's wonderful creative chaos on her workdesk and the list of bloggers you can visit to see more! I love visiting and have not been able to for some weeks now so this week I hope to see some fun creations!

Thank you for stopping by today to visit my blog! Wishing you some sunshine and warmth today!

"White Out" on Meljen's Challenge

Hello!

This week on Meljen's challenge the theme is "White Out" (all white with the exception of the colored image). I love these little "Love Birds" - one of her sweet digital images. I embossed the card base and added a strip of punched border to each side of the card - with a strip of Stickles along the inside edge of each border to add a little sparkle. The sweet birds are fussy cut and glued onto the card. I colored them red as our beautiful cardinals here in this part of WI are one of the few bright colors we see against all of the white of our winters. I added little snowflakes - that were the cutouts from the border - with a bit of Stickles in the centers and attached them with glue dots.

Go to http://meljensdesignsdt.blogspot.com/search/label/challenges to see all of the challenge fun - so many great creations!. I just realized that I forgot to add the little heart above their heads that is in the image - but you can see they are in love. :<)

Thank you for stopping by today to visit my blog! Wishing you some color in your life today!

Thinking of You

Hello!

I can't believe an entire week has passed since I last posted. Difficult times here and I have not been able to create - but today I have a card for you. I have used the digital image of  Sassy Cheryl's called "Sassy Sally's Heart Balloon"  - isn't she a cutie! I have entered this card in Cheryl's challenge where the current theme is 'Thinking of You" and http://sassycherylschallenge.blogspot.com/ is where you can see all of the great entries.

I made this card for my friend Conni who is recovering from thyroid cancer surgery and treatment and then I also made the same one for my friend Verda - the candy and hug on Mondays lady - as I loved the results!

I also made a little box to go with Verda's card - a sort of 'early Valentine' to make her smile. And inside I put a little 'surprise' for her - one of my little polymer clay guys. When she came to thank me for it she had a huge smile - so mission accomplished I'd say! :<) I also received another hug!  Lovely!

Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog today! We have very cold weather here in this part of WI today! After all of the beautiful high 40-50's warmth we now have -10 degrees at night! I think the high today is to be 10 degrees. So cold and we have also had high winds which make it seem even colder. Opps - I just looked outside and it is snowing! Wishing you a good Monday!

Hugs,

"Something New" for Mo Manning Challenge

Hello!

Look at that face - what an expression! I love it! The theme for the current Mo Manning challenge is "Something New" and this is Mo's newest digital image "Please". As soon as I saw her-  it was a done deal. I had to order her there and then! :<) She reminds me so much of my grand daughter when she was young - what a little diva queen! She used that cutsie smile on everyone and we all fell for it too!

You can order this sweetheart for your very own at http://www.digitalpenciltoo.blogspot.com/ and to see all of the great entries in the challenge and the designer team's creations, go to http://mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.com/

Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog today! We are having unbelievable weather here in this part of WI - a high of 46 degrees today and only supposed to get down to 43 degrees overnight! This is January in Wisconsin, people! I love it! Wishing you a great weekend!

A Christmas Hug for House Mouse Challenge

Hello!

My card today is entered in the current House Mouse challenge of "Christmas Hugs or, Kisses" - and my story here is that the cute little House Meeses are creating a Christmas gift for their mom, so I guess that qualifies as a Christmas hug or kiss. :<) The stamp I have used is called "Mice Memories" - so cute!

The photos of the finished card do not show the layering or detail very well. This card took a long time to create as the entire card is fussy cut - with the album pages layered onto the book cover, the photos layered onto the pages, the mice layered onto the album (the eraser is layered under the mouse) and the tape dispenser and glue bottle layered onto that. I then added glitter to the ribbon strip and blue sparkle stars where the stars were drawn on the stamp image. http://housemouse-challenge.blogspot.com/ is the place to go to see all of the super cute creations for this challenge!

Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog today! Wishing you a happy one!

"Anything Goes" is Late BD Card for My Brother

Hello!

This card is for you Dick - and you should receive it in the mail today! I am sorry to be late in getting it to you AFTER your birthday! I hope that it was a happy day for you! These are my favorite colors together and I wanted to make you a happy card and I know you have many bird feeders at your house. The cardinal is the bird I love the best and it's red color - especially in the winter against all the white - brings smiles.

I love this digital image of Sassy Cheryl's and have entered the card in her current challenge with the theme of "Anything Goes" at http://sassycherylschallenge.blogspot.com/ Wishing you a great new year brother dear - with all good things for you and your family!

Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog today! Wishing you some smiles and happiness also!
