It's WOYW? Wednesday and A Special Birthday

Hello!

Today is Wednesday - and "What's On Your Workdesk?" time again. I have nothing on my workdesk today - have not started any new projects. Supplies are out and ready but nothing to share,

And so instead of that photo I want to share photos of my great grand daughter who just celebrated her 3rd birthday. Isn't she beautiful? Her name is Madelyn and she lives in New Hampshire. That is a long way from this part of WI so I don't get to see her or her two brothers and her baby cousin but they are always in my heart.

Happy Birthday pretty girl!

Thank you for stopping by today to visit my blog! To see what WOYW? is all about if you haven't heard, go to http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ to see what projects everyone is working on! I hope that you have a creative and happy day!

A Few Of The Easter/Spring Cards I Made

Hello!

I made quite a few Easter and Spring cards using the Graphic 45 "Once Upon A Springtime" paper collection. On each one I did fussy cutting of many of the main figures and layered them. I added glitter with Stickles for some bling - you know I love glitter - and made them in a post card style with the greeting on the back. If you click on the photo to enlarge it you can see the detail.

Thank you for visiting my blog today! It is very cloudy, rainy and cold here today in this part of WI. After the days of high 60's this is a definite change but the rain is making everything green again and flowers blossom. I love Spring the best of all of our seasons I think. Wishing you a happy day!

Wrapping Up Jimbo - Dryer Heat Is Good!

Hello!

Jimbo suffers from a medical condition that causes him discomfort and pain. He is now once again on pain pills twice a day, but by accident we may have found the magic medicine to help!

He always has loved the heat from the clothes just out of the dryer and jumps on the bed when I bring them back from the laundry room so he can play in them. He thinks this great fun but sometimes I don't agree. This day I took the two pair of jeans and wrapped them around him to keep him out of the other clothes until I could fold and hang them. The result was an instant and total stop from his play and a 45 minute nap for him of absolute relaxation. The heavy denim material holds in the heat and this must have been like being folded in an electric blanket.

Jimbo is a very large cat - 17 1/2 pounds now - so he is the length of the jean fold - you can see his belly picking through in the middle and his tail and foot hanging out the end.

He was in heaven and sleeping so soundly that he even let me rest beside him on the bed without much notice. I was very happy to see him so at ease and pain free - as you can tell from the million photos I took. :<) Now I know what helps and will be using heat as therapy from now on.

He's my buddy, no doubt of that. :<) Thank you for visiting my blog today! We have sunshine and warm temperatures today here in this part of WI. Everything is turning green and some of the flowering trees are in bloom. I love Spring! Wishing you a happy Sunday!

HAPPY EASTER!

Hello!

Happy Easter!

I have another project completed in time for Easter. This was as much fun to make as the previous one in my last post. I love fussy cutting and detail! I first bought the frame for this poster and then cut to fit. I used Graphic 45 "Once Upon A Springtime" paper collection again - such beautiful papers and so perfect for fussy cutting! If you click on photos can see the glitter from adding Stickles.

Wishing you a wonderful day! We have sunshine and warm weather here in this part of WI today - a beautiful Easter Sunday. Another day of this great weather and then rain and cold again. But for today - a high of 62 degrees! Love it!

Here We Are Again - It's WOYW? Wednesday!

Hello!

It's another week gone by and time for "What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday again! How could seven days go by so fast!

I have been working on a couple of different projects using the beautiful "Once Upon A Springtime" paper collection from Graphic 45. I love this collection and may have to order another set so I can continue the layered fussy cutting that I love so much. This is my new door poster for my apartment - I am so happy with it. Many layers and many hours of fussy cutting.

I started with the 12 x 12 page and started to layer. Here is the first layer using the book that I cut out from a second full page.

Then I started to fussy cut the figures. The first fairy. After cutting I used a dark brown marker to color all of the edges so no white edges showed on the finished piece. It is very time consuming but leaves a finished edge.

Working on the layers. When they were all in place I used different colors of Stickles to give sparkle to the fairies wings, flower centers, ribbon, etc. You know how I love glitter accents!

The finished door poster.

Thank you for visiting my blog today! It is a beautiful day here in this part of WI today! Sunny and warmer weather - I love it! It is 62 degrees at the moment and the high today is to be 72 degrees! I have the windows open a bit and Jimbo is enjoying sitting in them and keeping track of all the happenings outside. Wishing you a good one wherever you are! I will be posting another project tomorrow.

Hugs,

Barbara Diane
