Hello!
It's another week gone by and time for "What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday again! How could seven days go by so fast!
I have been working on a couple of different projects using the beautiful "Once Upon A Springtime" paper collection from Graphic 45. I love this collection and may have to order another set so I can continue the layered fussy cutting that I love so much. This is my new door poster for my apartment - I am so happy with it. Many layers and many hours of fussy cutting.
I started with the 12 x 12 page and started to layer. Here is the first layer using the book that I cut out from a second full page.
Then I started to fussy cut the figures. The first fairy. After cutting I used a dark brown marker to color all of the edges so no white edges showed on the finished piece. It is very time consuming but leaves a finished edge.
Working on the layers. When they were all in place I used different colors of Stickles to give sparkle to the fairies wings, flower centers, ribbon, etc. You know how I love glitter accents!
The finished door poster.
Thank you for visiting my blog today! It is a beautiful day here in this part of WI today! Sunny and warmer weather - I love it! It is 62 degrees at the moment and the high today is to be 72 degrees! I have the windows open a bit and Jimbo is enjoying sitting in them and keeping track of all the happenings outside. Wishing you a good one wherever you are! I will be posting another project tomorrow.
Hugs,
Barbara Diane

What a beautiful project you created! I love it!
Reading that you have a sunny day is funny, because we had snow storms the whole day!

So pretty. I am always amazed at how just popping up features in a picture make the whole project beautiful.

Oh my. Every minute, every snip is totally worthwhile...that poster is absolutely something...quite beautiful. I understand your need to have another set of the papers!
I too colour the cut edges after fussy cutting.....it really finishes the pieces. But I don't do your sort or that amount of fussy cutting!!
That's beautiful.
