A Favorite Color Combo

Hello!

I hope that you all had a nice weekend! We continue to have rain here in this part of WI.

Mo Manning's current challenge is "Favorite Color Combo" and this is the card I made to welcome my third great grandchild "Madelyn Jeanne" (8 pounds 8 ounces, 20 inches long, lots of dark hair) and as her mother's favorite colors were always purple and pink - this is the result! The image is from Mo's digital image set called "3 Baby Fairies (+ Bugs!)" and they are all three the cutest little fairies! You can find them here on Mo's site at http://www.digitalpenciltoo.blogspot.com/

I used Crystal Effects on the wings to give them dimension and then added glitter while it was still wet.

Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog today! Wishing you a good Monday to start your week!

Hello!

Today is "What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday". It is so dark here this morning in this part of WI that with or without lights it is difficult to get a photo that isn't dark. I am working on a card for tomorrow's post and also have another project started (to the right of the markers). Go to Julia's blog to see her workdesk filled with wonderful possibilities http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ and also all of the other great entries.

It's A Picnic Basket

Hello,

I am having one heck of a time posting today with Blogger's new layout - why do they change things with no warning! I have loaded my photos seven million times it seems. On Friday I posted my butterfly card and a photo of the card in front of the project that went with it. Did you guess what it was?

It is a picnic basket and the cutest thing! The tutorial can be found at www.ladynthestamp.blogspot.com

Thank you for stopping by today to visit my bog! Wishing you a good one! I am so stressed out from posting this that I think I need chocolate for breakfast! Hopefully tomorrow will be better with only one photo to line up in the right order!

A Butterfly Card

Hello!

I love butterflies - and I found this wonderful paper just in time to use it to create my card entry for Sassy Cheryl's current challenge where the theme is "Butterflies" and the inspirations created by the design team are colorful and fun! Just like butterflies! Go to visit Cheryl's blog to see them all and enter your own butterfly creation!  http://sassycherylschallenge.blogspot.com/

I used Sassy Chery's digital image "You Are My Sunshine" - isn't this a wonderful image? Love it so much and have been wanting to use it. The little cut out butterflies are popped up - one on her shoe, one at her neckline, one to the left of her skirt and one on the sun.
On Monday I will show you the project I made to go with the card. Can you guess what it is?

Thank you for coming to visit my blog today! I am trying hard to keep up with replying to all of your kind comments - I love hearing from you! Wishing you a happy weekend!

Watching Them Grow and Blossom

Hello!

My friend Jamie's husband Jeff is the one who plants the flowers every year that border the stairs in the yard leading up to the house and that are in the planter on the porch and in the back yard. Both Jamie and Jeff love to watch them grow and blossom. There are also some larger flowers in their lives that they love to watch grow and blossom, and Jamie babysits them every day - their three beautiful grandchildren.

I wanted to make Jamie a special gift so I adapted the poster card to represent Grandpa and the grandchildren helping him to plant the flowers. Well, two of them anyway - the 'little' one has better things to do and lets her cousins do the gardening.

I removed Bronte the dog (put him on the small shelf unit on my workdesk), added another bag of potting soil and additional pots that I changed around and then added Mo Manning's digital image of "Moving" to the others in the scene. I hope that Jamie and Jeff enjoy the poster card! It was fun to make!

Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog today! I hope that you have a lovely day with your family today - no matter what size they are!

Re-arranged My Workspace in Time for WOYW W

Hello!

My workspace was getting too crowded and I wanted to move my sewing machine back to one of the tables in my square as I am again working on my dolls - so here is the result of the re-arranging, just in time for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. Go to Julia's blog to see all of the workdesks of this week! http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ I love looking at all the great ideas from these creative minds!

The table behind my chair remained the same but now the sewing machine is back within the workspace so I can access it more conveniently and I have moved the drawer units with my fabric, etc. and my resource 3-ring binders to the area where the sewing machine used to be.

Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog today! Wishing you a creative day in your workspace!

It's A Watering Can!

Hello!

Yesterday I posted a project that was on my workdesk and asked if you could guess what it was - the template looked like an airplane! I received some interesting guesses, but not what this project is. It is a cute little watering can - and this is how it went together.

I am not sure where I found this template and I printed our those I am working on a very long time ago. I found them when I was searching for some paper for an earlier project. So I need to do some research to make sure that it isn't a template that I ordered from a blogger. If it turns out it is a free one I will post it on my blog for you!

Thank you for visiting my blog today! Wishing you a lovely day today! It is so nice here in this part of WI - the sky is the most beautiful blue!

Another Wednesday is here again and time for What's On Your Workdesk? My new projects are ready and waiting for me to work on and I hope I get to them today. Not feeling well and taking the car in for an oil change this morning and an appointment this afternoon, so may not be able to finish them.

Looks a bit like an airplane doesn't it? What do you think they will be?

Day For Daisies Challenge and Found Paper

Hello!

The challenge on A Day For Daisies Blog this week has a theme of "Found Paper" and I found this paper that I didn't even remember having and in fact had to cut off the edges to use it. I guess that would have given it a little more vintage feel but I thought of that too late. I used Daisies' digital images of the sweet "Mae's Present" and the "Snowflake Fairy" for my card. You can see all of the entries at http://adayfordaisies.blogspot.com/ and there is also a lovely 'freebie' image that can be used.

Thank you for stopping by today to visit my blog! We had a very windy day here in the part of WI and today it is very cold. Hope all is sunny and warm where you are!
