Difficult Times

Hello,

I have not been able to create much this past few weeks - difficult times with serious medical issues, physical pain and my best friend is dying. They are moving her to hospice today. I am overwhelmed at the moment with so many things.

Please know that your e-mails and comments are so appreciated and that I do look at as many of your blogs as I can even if I do not leave a comment in return. God bless you all and I wish you a Happy Easter.

April Calendar Page & The Real April in WI

Hello!

When I was working on the April page of my birthday calendar page it was beautiful warm weather here in this part of WI. Green grass, flowers growing - Spring was in the air! So I made it colorful and fun - with cute little rain drops.

Then, this being WI the rain drops became sleet, then hail and then snow. This is what the green grass and flowers growing looks like today. Spring takes a long time to arrive and stay here in WI.

A Card For Spring

Hello!

I used to love making cards using the brass templates with the lightbox. This is one of my favorite layouts and also uses the dotted embossing folder on the card base.

I also used to love to write on my blog before it started running all together with no way to edit edit the paragraphs. It has been weeks now and it is still not fixed. If anyone uses Blogger and knows what to do PLEASE let me know!

A Card From Katie

Hello!

What a wonderful surprise in the mail! I received this beautiful card from Katie - and the hand written message inside warmed my heart. It was so unexpected and the highlight of my week! Thank you Katie - I am blessed to have met you!

Those of you who follow my blog know that Katie is the brave young woman, wife and mother of three small boys who is fighting Stage 4 Gastric Cancer - of which she was diagnosed shortly before Christmas 2011. I first wrote about Katie during the first of two fundraisers to help this sweet family. She is one of the bravest people I know and a fighter and she recently started to create again, but the constant side effects of the chemo treatments are severe and she suffers. Promise Of Spring

Hello!

The sky was so blue, the air warm with a slight breeze, the buds on the trees - and the birds were flying EVERYWHERE! You cannot clearly see them in the tree but at one time there were about 20 birds flying back and forth from tree to ground to tree - cardinals, robins, finches, chickadees, sparrows, etc. All kinds of birds - and all SINGING! It was fantastic. It was a promise of Spring.

Today the forecast is for snow with rain. That's Wisconsin!
