Hello!
Today is "What's On Your Workdesk?" time - I have not shared for such a long time and it is great to do so and check out many of the bloggers on the post today! You can see what so many are doing by checking them out on Julia Dunnit's blog at http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/. I am now at the quilting stage of my applique. Those of you who follow my blog know that I took classes to learn how to applique, as that was a needlework that I had not done before and this wall hanging is the project we worked on. I have decided to hand quilt it and so have been learning all about that also. With my poor eyesight I need to work at my workdesk under the two OTT Lites so can't sit in comfort in my recliner - but it is fun anyway. I have it layered with the batting in the middle and the backing on - cut them 2 inches larger all around as I have learned that the fabric pulls in as you quilt the design. (See - I am learning!)
While I was working I looked down and saw that Jimbo had found my bag of stuffing made a perfect bed with pillow and was sound asleep. Later when he woke up and I asked him how his nap was he looked at me like "Was that ok?" and of course it was. This cat is charming - so gentle and sweet and I love him.
Thank you for visiting my blog today! It is thundering at the moment here in this part of WI. It has been beautiful weather here but now storms moving in. Wishing you a lovely day where you are!
Hugs,
Barbara Diane
