Hello!
Well, I was making this card for Sassy Cheryl's challenge blog, but I realized after it was finished that I forgot the paper strips in the background! When you have a sketch to follow, as was given for the current challenge, forgetting large parts of it is not good! So instead of the challenge I am posting it to Cheryl's blog and her "Show Me what you are doing this week!" request :<) I have used her sweet digital image "Sam's Rainy Day" and have paper painted it. Go to http://sassycheryls.blogspot.com/ to see what fun things those bloggers are up to!
Thank you for stopping by today to visit my blog today - and thank you for all of your lovely comments and e-mails! I love hearing from you and am trying to visit everyone and return the kindness of a comment! Wishing you a happy day!

Well you may have forgotten an important element on the card but it still turned out wonderful any way.

Sweet floral umbrella, Barbara! Sorry you missed the sketch challenge, but glad that you posted with the Show Me this week.
Wouldn't have guessed that there was an element missing... I was too busy admiring your "as always" great paper piecing!
GORGEOUS! I'm sorry that you missed out on the challenge. . . .but am certainly glad you decided to share your card with us. It's darling.
Thanks for sharing in the Sassy Cheryl's SMThursday this week.
Okay Barbara Diane, I officially dub you the "Paper Piecing Queen". :-) Another beautiful example of how to do this right. Wonderfully designed card. Hugs!
Love it! The blue scallop circle is perfect for the "rain cloud!" Mmm...might have to case this idea!
; ) Thanks for sharing! Blessings, Sharon
LOL because not following the sketch that is the challenge is so something I would do. Glad you were able to use the card in a challenge anyway. The card itself is gorgeous and I love the color combinations.
This is a make me smile card...what a darling image and fun paper piecing!!!
