Spooky, Sweet & Colorful on House Mouse Challenge

Hello!

The current challenge on the House Mouse Challenge is to use any combination of Orange, Purple, Lime Green and Black to illustrate the theme of "Spooky, Sweet & Colorful". If this isn't a perfect everything to use my favorite shades of Stickles, I don't know what is! I made this poster for  my friend Verda - the lady of the Monday candy/hug - as my weekly thank you. Verda has poor eyesight so I try to make things that she can see with her magnifying glass and her visiting nurse to help. I hope this isn't too busy for her - but then she loves a challenge and we have great laughs at the misinterpretations! I tell her I like to keep her on her toes - which I don't know what that means exactly, but it is a phrase I grew up with. :<)

I started with a spooky tree that I found at the Dollar Store and went from there. The cute little trick-or-treat mice are stamps from the "Halloween Clear Stamp Set" and you can find it at http://www.house-mouse.com/  To see all of the wonderful inspiration of the DT and the equally creative entries to this fun challenge, go to the House Mouse Challenge at http://housemouse-challenge.blogspot.com/ and add your project!

Thank you for stopping by today! We have a very foggy day here in this part of WI - it is to be warm temperatures for today and tomorrow and then COLD temperatures return! Hopefully they do not stay yet - I am not looking forward to winter this year. Wishing you a happy day!

Barbara Diane

Eeeek! What a spooky scene!! Those are some brave little mice to be hanging out by that scary tree. Your poster is full of so many wonderful details - love the stickles and all those googly eyes peering out from the brances. Of course, the little meece are all adorable too. Thanks for joining in at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge.

I hope your friend gets as much of a kick out of this as I did. You are very good at cutting these little guys out and I love the "eyes" in the tree and bats and ghosts. Wonderful job. Thanks for sharing.
