The Storm They Called "The Beast" - Last Night

Hello!

Yesterday the blizzard that was named "The Beast" hit our part of WI. (see earlier post this morning) It was a brutal winter snow storm - no visability, high winds - everything became white. It was very scary to watch from the inside of my apartment - and I prayed for the people out in its fury.

Here are some photos from about 11:00 pm last night - the visability was so bad with the wind and the snow that it was almost impossible to see across the street.

One minute something could be seen . . .

and the next minute the wind would whip the snow around and it woud start to disappear.

We had so much snow - 16 inches of new snow by this morning. This is the top of the back of a bench that sits on the back patio of the apartment building - just sticking up out of the snow.

The following post will be photos from this morning.

Wow, that's a lot of snow. We haven't had a storm like that here since my oldest was a baby. Yikes. I'm glad you were inside and safe.

Wow Barbara! That's quite the monster! It has missed us here in NC, we have 65 degrees!

Wow, now that is a storm. I thought we had it bad here in NY. We are having our 8th storm of the year today, but it is not snow, it is all ICE! Terrible, can't even go outside. Be safe and stay warm.

Hugs,
Stephanie

Just finished reading all your posts about the storm. Looks horrible. We had some freezing rain last nigh and are getting snow tonight but I think you've got it a little worse than we do. Stay safe and stay warm (if that's possible )

Holy smokes that's a lot of snow Barbara. My Mom who lives in CT hasn't been out of the house in month. She had to have her roof shoveled for fear it might collapse. They have had about 80" of snow since Christmas...unbelievable. No snow here in GA-it has just been cold. Be safe and stay warm!

Bear Hugs,
Carol
