WOYW? - My "Call Me" Scarecrow

Hello!

Today is Wednesday - time for "What's On Your Workdesk?". I have not been able to join them for awhile and as I love this sharing of projects I did not want to miss it again! For those of you who don't know what happens on WOW?W, go to Julia's http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ to see what all the bloggers are creating this week at their workdesks! I love visiting as many of these wonderful blogs each week that I can - so much talent and inspiration and just a fun way to meet people! As you can see from my workdesk, I have been working on creating my characters.

Today I have my "Call Me" Scarecrow to share. This is the second of my creations that I have added a hand to for more expression. Again, the back is made blank so it can be used to write a message. I am having so much fun just taking my time to experiment and create - more characters are ready to post!

Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog today! Our snow is gone - melted away as it hit the ground - but I know that it won't be long until we have more and it will stay! Wishing you a happy day!

Barbara Diane

Beautiful work Barbara Diane. Your Scarecrow is wonderful. I love him. He would make a great door hanging for a lucky teen I think. Happy WOYWW from Helen 56

These are adorable, BD!! You have quite the artistic talent with these characters - they are so expressive! If you've never done any work as a cartoonist, you've missed your calling. Or I should say, your "first" calling because, after all, doing them on your blog is a calling, too! I'm glad to be along to see what you create!! Have a wonderful week and thanks for coming by my place! Darnell #42

Thanks so much for leaving me a comment in my blog. I'm also so sorry to hear about your mom. It's just difficult to loose a parent yet they are now in a better place. Here's praying that you get all the comfort and sympathy from friends and family in such a difficult time like this :) Love to you from my family :)

what an awesome crafting place! Love the light and all the fun things out there to look at. That scarecrow is just awesome and I love all the shading an coloring you have done! I will send you an email regarding gluten free products. Thanks for visiting my desk. Vickie

This scarecrow is sooo brilliantly clever! Love the shading and the fact you've use 'sacking' for him! Great desk too, loads of WOYWWERs have those white organisers. I made my own turntable pen holder thingy for WOYWW's first birthday but because I'd used cardboard cups, with a wide top and a narrow bottom I couldn't get very many Promrkers to fit in, but I am in the middle of revamping it! Thank you for your visit! Happy LatE WoYwW ((Lyn))

I love your scarecrow, Barbara Diane! He looks very mournful despite his smile - I think it's the eyes! So endearing. Your creative space looks very interesting and it looks as if you've got good light.

Thanks for your visit and your lovely comment. I shall have to get on with my knitting if I'm going to take advantage of it this winter lol! As for Remembrance Day, I do so agree with what you say. People should be a lot more grateful for the sacrifice of our armed forces, defending our freedoms which are not to be taken for granted.

I've uploaded a post about how I made my poppies, and I'm about to upload the post about the finished art journal page, if you want to pop back and see those 2 posts.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Oh he's marvellous ! I love the 'added hand', what a great idea. I know I won't be the first to comment on your lovely methodical approach to work...your desk looks like an oasis of productivity and order. Am late enough to see the sassy challenge card too...it's fab, lovely and colourful and an amazing fold!
