Northern Ligts In Wisconsin

Hello!

Isn't this the most beautiful photo? My friend Doug has sent me another awesome photo - it is of the Northern Lights over Cayuga, WI. Doug has a cabin in Northern Wisconsin and he told me that this was taken just up the road from him a few miles. All summer I am so jealous of his trips up to the cabin in the land of wonderful lakes and forests! But he always shares these beautiful photos with me and I love to see them. Thank you Doug!

Thank YOU for visiting me today! Wishing you a beautiful weekend! When I return on Monday it will be October already - with Halloween just around the corner!

Toad-ally Fun Halloween

Hello!

The card I finished last night uses images from the Inky Antics 'Halloween Frog' HoneyPOP Clear Set. I love making these pop-up inserts from the Honeycomb Pads. I keep forgetting I have this fun product and so will be making more of these!

Thanks for stopping by today! We have another beautiful sunshine day here in this part of WI. It is so nice to have the fresh air in the apartment!

Walking In The Forest

Hello!

The challenge this week on Mo's Digital Challenge blog is "Autumn Colors" and we were given this beautiful photo for inspiration. The Fall colors have just started to show here in this part of WI. I love to drive in the countryside and look at all of the trees in different shades of red, orange, yellow, brown and green. It make me happy to see such beauty!

My card this week uses one of Mo's wonderful dwarfs - this guy is 'Number One Dwarf" and he is walking through the fallen Fall leaves in the forest before leaving to work in the mines. Thinking and thinking and enjoying his morning in the sunshine and fresh air.

The dwarf was attached to the card base with dimensionals and once again I have cut out the leaves from Mo's "Kai" image and attached them to the card using dimensionals also. The markers and CS are all SU. The new challenge always begins on Thursdays so you still have time to enter your card creations and join in the fun at http://mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.com/

Thanks for stopping by today and wishing you a happy one!

A Thank You Card

Hello!

A thank you card for today. The image is from A Day For Daisies, the CS is from SU. I added glitter to the little fairy's wings, the flowers and the floating petals. I also outlined the card with a black marker for added depth. Go to http://adayfordaisies.blogspot.com/ to find more of these beautiful and delicate images.

Thanks for stopping by today! More rain, more clouds here in this part of WI. Wishing you some sunshine and a good Monday!

Card Box for the Card Sets

Hello!

I finished the box to hold the two sets of No-Stamping cards that I posted earlier. I combined the same DP and CS that I used in the cards and also added a ribbon and tag to the box when I gave it to my friend Jean. Her cousin has had a stroke and she writes letters to her as her cousin can't speak now. I suggested that the box could also be filled with some goodies to send to her. I hope that the cards will bring her cousin a smile - Jean said she liked flowers.

The box was made to hold these two sets of cards.

Thanks for stopping by today! Can you believe tomorrow is Friday already! Where did this week go! It seems all I have done is run from appointment to appointment every day this week - hopefully it will slow down this weekend!

Wishing you good things today.

WOYW Time Again

Hello!

Another Wednesday is here already - this week is flying by for me. That old saying "the faster I go the behinder I get!" is certainly true for me lately!

This is what is still on my workdesk this morning - the remains of yesterday's card. So much cutting and so many little pieces. It was a fun card to make but now I better get it cleaned up and things put away so I can create again.

You can see all today's 'What's On Your Workdesk' entries on the Stamping Ground blog - last I checked there were 104 who have posted photos! http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ I'm off to post mine now before I get 'behinder' again today!

Thanks for stopping by today! Wishing you some smiles!

Celebration!

Hello!

In today's card I have combined 3 of Mo Manning's images to make this little Fall scenerio. "The Big One", "Patrick In The Pumpkin Patch" and the leaves cut out from "Kai"are the 3 that I used. The images are all colored with markers and then cut out, with Patrick and his pumpkins glued to the CS and the leaves at the top and the little guy in front are raised on dimensionals. (The remainder of the leaves are attached with glue.)

The challenge this week on Mo's Digital Challenge blog is 'Celebration' and what is more exciting to celebrate for a little boy than finding 'the big one' in the pumpkin patch and for his brother it is to spy on him to see just where he found it! It's that time of year - hope you enjoy! Join the fun and check out the entries at http://mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.com/

Thanks for stopping by today! We have sunshine again here in this part of WI and it is SO nice! Yesterday started off with rain and gloomy weather and turned into a beautiful day, so here's hoping it stays for awhile! Wishing you a creative day!

This Was NOT A Quick Card!

Hello!

Unlike my last posting - this card was NOT a fast card to make! That card took less than 30 minutes to make - start to finish - and this card took over 4 hours! The stamping, the coloring, the outlining, the cutting - all were very labor intensive. So although this is not a card that you would make multiple copies of, this would be a great card for a special person!

Thanks for stopping by today! It is very rainy and gloomy this morning here in this part of WI! I guess with Fall almost here it is to be expected. But it would be wonderful to have more of the in-between - not hot and humid and not cold and wet . . . . and soon cold and SNOW! Wishing you some sunshine today!

I am sorry that I do not remember who this lovely image belongs to but I will add it as soon as I find it on my files! This image is called "In The Flowers" by Lilyboo at "Cuddly Buddly Crafts" and you can find it here http://cuddlybuddly.com/

No Stamp Card #3 - 30 Minutes To Make!

Hello!

This card is also made using just one sheet of DP and took less than 30 minutes to create so I love that! The background is from one side of the 12 x 12 sheet, the large flowers are cut from the design on the reverse side and the card is matching CS. All are SU papers.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope that you have a great weekend!

No Stamp DP Cards #2

Another sheet of my new DP from SU for this set of cards. I used the bottom half of the 12 x 12 sheet of DP with the flowers design and cut 3 sections to fit the top of the cards and used the reverse side of the remaining half of the DP as the border layer between the flowers and the card. The colors are really lovely.

The 4th card I used the reverse side as the border and pieced the scraps from the flowers side as the top layer, adding some cut outs from the reverse side.

Thanks for stopping by today! It is MUCH cooler weather here in this part of WI today! Looks like the Indian Summer is over. Wishing you a sunshine day!

No Stamp DP Cards #1

Hello!

I recently purchased some beautiful DP from SU and some of them have large individual designs that I thought would make lovely cards using just the DP and coordinating CS. Although this paper has an all over design, the colors of this paper were so pretty that I had to use it first.

Thanks for stopping by today! Wishing you a happy one!

Granny Has Cookies!

Hello!

When I saw the new "Witches Trick" image by Mo Manning, I knew that I had to use it to make a Halloween poster! And what more perfect than for her to live in one of Mo's "Tall Houses" - such fun! I cut out portions of the foliage by the swing in the "Katie's Love" image by Make It Crafty that was in the first 'Help For Katie' grouping to add to the house. The gingerbread man was raised using dimentionals and inserted under her hand. The coloring is with markers.

There's something about this 'Granny' . . . . hmmmmmmm

Is that a cat in the upstairs window?

It is! "Allie" - what are you doing up there?!

Thanks for stopping by today! We are having absolutely beautiful Indian Summer weather here in this part of WI - love it!

Take care. Wishing you a great Monday!

Using Cut Out DP Images

Hello!

Today's card was created by cutting out images from a DP combo as well as using it on the card stock. I loved this pattern and it came in two different sheets - same theme/different colors - that were both double sided. It was great fun to cut out different flowers and butterflies from the two sheets and combine them on the card. Plus this color combination is way out of my comfort zone so it was a challenge. The sweet image is Mo's Manning's 'Sprout' that was one of the images on the first "Help For Katie" grouping.

And I have entered it in a challenge - this week's Mo's challenge blog has a sketch to follow so that was fun! See the great inspirations samples at http://mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.com/

Thanks for stopping by today!

The weather here in this part of WI is very chilly these past few days! Last night it was only 42 degrees! You take care and I wish you a happy evening.

My Colored CS Scraps Box

Hello!

Thank you to everyone who sent me the kind comments/e-mails on my scrap CS storage. I thought I would post a few more photos.

I keep my colored CS scraps box to the left of my work table so that it is always close by and easy to reach while I am working on a card or project. The plastic box I have them in has dividers and I use labeled page protectors to store each separate color of CS as they allow me to see what is inside and each one can be removed from the box to access the CS. I use the general headings of color and keep them in order of: copy paper (for scratch paper), white, yellow, orange, pink, red, purple, blue, green, brown, gray, black and silver/gold. My box has just the right amount of dividers to allow me to do this so I was happy.

The scrap box sits on the bin that holds my fiberfill for my dolls as the table to my left is where my sewing machine sits. I have a very small area for my studio which is half of my small living room area. My work station is in a square and very organized because of this and over the years I have made adjustments and changes to make it more compact and efficient. I learned that if I did not see what I had, I did not use it - that included my papers, supplies, equipment, etc. I will be posting some photos soon in a 'tour' of my work area and my storage systems.

Thanks for stopping by today! Wishing you a great weekend!
