Happy Harry - The Heads

Hello!

As I posted earlier this week, I am making two of the Happy Harry guys - so that is why there will always be the plural of parts. He doesn't have two heads. :<)

The pieces are drawn on the fabric, sewn and then cut out. Here I have drawn the front and back of the two heads and the two pair of ears.

The back of the heads still inside out and the head fronts turned right side out. I have sewn the ears, turned them right side out and attached at the seam line on each side of the head fronts.

Now the head front has to be put inside the head back to sew them together. A bit touchy and not for a beginner, as with the ears attached it makes the front piece bulky. These pieces are quite small as Harry will only be about 7" tall.

On the left is one head pinned together for sewing. You can see how the nose has to protrude through the opening in the back of the head where the face will be pulled through after sewing the two pieces together. Where it is pinned will become the center head seam - attaching the front and back of the head (with the ears now sewn in this seam) attached together. On the right is a finished head - sewn and stuffed. One more to go! :<)

Thanks for stopping by today!

On Monday, the hands are sewn and stuffed. Wishing you a great weekend!
